About Tap Dancing Spiders

Quick summary: I can’t dance and I’m terrified of spiders.

Are you now confused? I’m sure you came here looking for videos of dancing spiders (I know you did, I see the Analytics reports).

Instead you’ve discovered me. An Australian marketer loving life in the US and nerdishly playing in as many different facets of marketing and communications possible.

Have a look around. I hope you’ll like what you see. Want to read something a tad more academic? Check out my folio for some of my research work.

Oh, you want my credentials to know why you should spend time here? I have helped small and large organizations with branding, reporting and analysis, direct marketing and event management both in Australia and the US. Currently, I am working with Expedia, merchandising the website, Expedia.com. Visit and check out the sales; that’s my team’s work. Also, I hold the position of VP Communications with IABC/Seattle and have two degrees: a bachelors majoring in marketing and a graduate degree in public relations.

Are you still confused about the name of my blog? I’m also a Harry Potter fan. Tap Dancing Spiders is a line from the fourth movie, but read the books to discover the brilliance of JK Rowling.

Affiliate Links

I’ve started using Amazon affiliate links for all my book reviews. Yes, if you choose to buy the book, I get a tiny amount of money. If you don’t, I don’t. I’m not aiming to make a living off the site, maybe just subsidize the hosting costs. I always put a link in reviews to make it easier if you choose to buy. I chose to link to Amazon because they’re global. I’ll never change my views because I may be paid and if you choose to buy e-books, from your corner bookstore or borrow from the library – I don’t care. I just hope that my reviews give you more ideas of what to read.

Glad you’re enjoying it.Top score is a four and it’s averaged over all the subjects, so it does represent a lot of hard work. I think my score is marginally higher at the moment.

So brilliant to be invited in!
Will start by going through your books.
I am wading through “The authenticity hoax: How we get lost finding ourselves” by Andrew Potter, M & S. Very well written. Philosophy at its best, because it’s readable and in places great fun.

Carine, I’m adding that to my ‘must read’ list. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the site.

I can write on a wide variety of topics and am sure you would be happy with the quality. Please email me back if you are interested. Thank you for your time.
