About Tap Dancing Spiders

So who is Bianca and why Tap Dancing Spiders?

Starting with Who is Bianca? I’m a freelance communications generalist who works with clients on direct marketing, technical writing, data cleaning, copy writing and editing, social networking and web analytics. I hold a Bachelor of Business Studies (Marketing) from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations with distinction from RMIT University. I’m a member of both the PRIA and IABC.

I recently moved to San Francisco, US after living in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and during the first semester of the grad dip programme discovered there is not central place online for up-to-date PR web resources. So, here is the start of a resource point, mixed with a blog.

And the second question: Why Tap Dancing Spiders? In December 2007 when naming what was to be purely a personal blog I wanted something that represented me and my interests, was a little quirky but also had a business slant. So, the tap dancing came from the idea of dancing with client, getting the best outcomes, and the spiders an indirect reference to the Harry Potter series which I adore. Incidentally, I am an absolute klutz who is terrified of spiders.

As well as taking on freelance projects and uni, I also work with clients on short contracts. Please visit the link to the left to see a folio of my work.

I hope you find this entertaining and informative. Please leave comments, and any requests or ideas can be sent to bianca@tapdancingspiders.com.au and I can be called on +1 415 279 2727.

Is 3.33 a good score or a really good score or just plain ordinary?

Glad you’re enjoying it.

Top score is a four and it’s averaged over all the subjects, so it does represent a lot of hard work. I think my score is marginally higher at the moment.
