About Tap Dancing Spiders

Tap Dancing Spiders is your resource for marketing, social media and public relations. Oh, and a little WordPress fun too.

The site was founded in 2008 when Bianca realized there was no Australian public relations resource. She was studying a PR degree at RMIT University at the time, so she created this site. It has evolved a few times, and has come back to its original purpose.

Posts are scheduled for each Monday around midday, Pacific time. Each week has a different focus, from How To, Book Reviews, Interviews with Marketers, and more.

Do you have a How To topic? Or an Interview with a Marketer suggestion? We accept guest blogs, as well as writing the blogs ourselves. Email Bianca@TapDancingSpiders.com.

About Bianca J Smith

Quick summary: I can’t dance and I’m terrified of spiders.

I’m also a marketing generalist in Seattle, Washington. I currently work with the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia, helping the churches tell their stories. I’m also finishing a Master of Communications at RMIT University, and take on the occasional freelance project. In my spare time, I’m a Hootsuite Ambassador for North America.

Are you still confused about the name, Tap Dancing Spiders? I’m also a Harry Potter fan. Tap Dancing Spiders is a line from the fourth movie, but read the books to discover the brilliance of JK Rowling.

Glad you’re enjoying it.Top score is a four and it’s averaged over all the subjects, so it does represent a lot of hard work. I think my score is marginally higher at the moment.

So brilliant to be invited in!
Will start by going through your books.
I am wading through “The authenticity hoax: How we get lost finding ourselves” by Andrew Potter, M & S. Very well written. Philosophy at its best, because it’s readable and in places great fun.
