New profile, some changes and a blogging cat

Posted by on Tuesday, 27 January, 2009

Blogging-CatWhat do you think of the new profile? It’s very pretty. I was going to have a custom design but it was taking too long and I realised it doesn’t really matter. As long as it is easy to read, the content is more important. Original branding can come later. So thanks to Militaru for the design. I would link to their site, but it is just a page of Google ads.

The changes promised in the title are also a result of me realising how limited time is. I have a month until uni goes back and about a trillion in progress projects.

So, I have given up on reading Traders, Guns and Money by Satyajit Das and moved on to The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. I’m apprehensive because it does seem to be the trendy book of the month, but we’ll see. I still have Sat Das speaking at one of my events. I’d let you know how it goes but the organisation I work for isn’t the most social media friendly and there’s a gag order on my blog. So stay tuned for the review on The Tipping Point.

And the blogging cat. My housemate and I have been having a bit of fun with her new kitten. We can call her a Gen Z kitten as there isn’t a name for 2009 children yet, so as a Gen Zer she needed to be online. The cat that is, my housemate’s blog is already on the blog roll. So check out Elphaba Widget’s blog and see how adorable she is.
